Adaptil contains the dog appeasing pheromone (DAP). Mother dogs communicate with their puppies by releasing this pheromone from their mammary zone. This is an odourless substance that can only be perceived by dogs and it provides a strong sense of comfort and security in dogs of all ages.
Adaptil Calm on the Go Collar is the perfect solution for keeping your dog calm whilst out and about. It is also a great additional training aid, helping your dog remain reassured whilst learning. How to use: Simply place the collar around your dog's neck and adjust the size. Leave this collar on continuously (unless shampooing!) 1 collar provides 4 weeks constant support.
Collar fits neck up to 62.5 cm, for dogs up to approximately 110 lbs / 50 kg. Do not put another collar or a bandana between ADAPTIL Calm On-The-Go Collar and your dog’s skin. This would block the contact and therefore the release of “comforting messages”
Do not put the collar in contact with shampoo or chlorinated water (in swimming pools). If you dog swims in the sea or a lake occasionally with the collar, it’s not a problem.
Do not fix a lead on the collar, it would not resist the tension and therefore fall off. The collar is not made of recyclable plastic material. If your dog’s issues are due to a lack of proper training, a lack of stimulation in the environment, soiling the house (due to lack of toilet training, or due to medical reasons) then it Adaptil will not work, and veterinary advice should be sought. ADAPTIL will not help and should never be used in cases of aggression towards humans or other dogs. In such situations we strongly recommend to consult your veterinarian or a qualified behaviourist.
